A plain cylinder of natural alabaster, lit along its full height. There is no metalwork visible from the front, so the fitting reads as a single glowing column set into the wall — a strong effect on a dark or textured finish, and a calm one on plaster.
The cylinder is thicker than a decorative sconce would be, which gives it enough presence for a lobby or reception wall while still being a wall-mounted fitting rather than a floor piece. It is often used in pairs either side of a doorway or a lift.
Where It Works Best
- Lobby and reception walls — enough scale to hold a tall wall without a ceiling fitting.
- Hotel corridors — a warm, low-glare run at eye height.
- Guest rooms and suites — bedside or dressing-area light.
- Restaurants and spa interiors — soft light on a dark or textured finish.

Why It Reads as a Column
Most alabaster sconces show a metal ring, a bracket or a backplate. This one is designed so that none of that is visible from the front, which is what makes the fitting look like a solid column of stone rather than a shade on a mount. On a dark wall the contrast does most of the work; on a pale wall the glow does it.
The trade-off is installation tolerance. Because the fixing is behind the shade, the wall has to be flat enough that the cylinder sits tight against it. Tell us the wall build-up and we will confirm the fixing detail.

Ordering & FAQ
What does the price include?
The price covers the fitting itself, in-house quality inspection before packing, export-grade packing, and inland freight to your named China port. International freight, customs clearance, import duties and taxes are quoted separately, so you can use your own forwarder if you prefer.
Can the finish, size or bulb type be changed?
Yes. These are made to order, so the metal finish, shade size and socket type can all be adjusted. Send us the specification you need and we will confirm feasibility, MOQ and price before you commit.
How long is the lead time?
Lead time is confirmed per order rather than quoted as a blanket figure, because it depends on quantity, finish and whether any part of the design is customised. We put it in writing before you place the order.
Is certification documentation available?
Certification documentation can be arranged per order and destination market. Tell us the destination market and the compliance route you need, and we will confirm what can be supplied with your order.
How is it fixed if the mount is hidden behind the shade?
The fixing sits behind the cylinder and is concealed once the shade is in place. Send us the wall build-up (plasterboard, block, panelling) and we will confirm the fixing method and any reinforcement needed before you order.
